Annual Frolic – Person of the Year Celebration- Postponed for Coronavirus- Date TBD
LINDA PUPKIEWICZ, OF BENSALEM, PA WILL BE HONORED AS THE PERSON OF THE YEAR BY THE FEASTERVILLE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION AT THEIR ANNUAL FROLIC ON SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2020
Linda Pupkiewicz, of Bensalem, PA , who recently retired after a 33 year
career with the Library of Lower Southampton Township, will be honored as the Person of the Year by the Feasterville Business Association at their annual frolic to be held at the Philmont Country Club, located at 301 Tomlinson Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA on Saturday, May 2, it was announced by Fran Mishinkash, president of the FBA.
Cocktails will be at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the awards ceremony
at 7 p.m. The public is invited.
Pupkiewicz, who has been a member of the professional business
association for 15 years is being recognized and singled out for special attention for her service to the FBA, as well as the community-at-large. She is currently serving on the board of directors as its sergeant-at-arms. She also previously served as recording secretary and corresponding secretary and is chairman of the college scholarship committee and annual Easter egg hunt. She also serves as a member of the charity golf outing committee.
She began her career at the library as a book keeper and then was
prompted to administrative assistant. In her final decade of service with the
Lower Southampton library she held the position as assistant director. She also has been a member of the Friends of the Lower Southampton Library for 30 years.
A native of the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia, she is a graduate of St.
Hubert Catholic High School in Northeast Philadelphia and attended Bucks County Community College for continuing education credits in library science. She also has been active in the Rotary Club of Feasterville for 15 years where she serves as treasurer and has chaired fund raising for its pancake breakfast and spaghetti dinner, and its pocketbook bingo event. She additionally is a volunteer for the Neshaminy Activities Center Meals on Wheels program.
Pupkiewicz is a member of the Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church in
Feasterville, PA and has been a volunteer for its pre-school CCD and teen CYO programs. She also has been active on its hospitality committee for 20 years.
She has three adult children, a boy and two girls and has three grandchildren.
Tickets for the frolic are $75 per person which includes a cocktail reception,
dinner with wine, open bar all night, gift basket raffles and music and dancing to the Craig Satchell Orchestra.

William F. Wiegman, Jr., retired chief of police in Lower Southampton, PA was honored as the Person of the Year by the Feasterville Business Association at the 2018 Frolic held at Brookside Manor at Somerton Springs, 50 Bustleton Pike, Feasterville, PA on Saturday, April 14, 2018 it was announced by Rick Tyrrell, past president of the FBA. The public was invited.
Wiegman’s career spanned 43 years with the Lower Southampton Police Department beginning with his duties as a patrolman (1973-89) then moving up to sergeant (1989-93), then lieutenant (1993-2003) and finally chief, a role he fulfilled for his final 13 years with the department from 2003-2016.
According to Tyrrell, “Wiegman was being recognized and singled out for special attention for his service to the FBA, as well as to the community-at-large. He has been a member of the FBA for 18 years and previously served as president, vice president and a member of the organization’s executive board. He also has served on numerous committees including the July 4th Parade, charity golf outing, college scholarship awards and blue light honoring fallen police heroes.
In addition to the FBA, he is currently serving as president of the board of directors of the Southeastern Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependency and is a member of the Feasterville Rotary Club and the Knights of Columbus. He additionally is a member of numerous law enforcement advisory boards including the Bucks County Emergency Radio Advisory Board, Bucks County South Central Special Response Team, Bucks County Public Safety Committee, Bucks County Fatality Review Board, Bucks County Domestic Violence Task Force and Promotional Boards and Oral Interviews.
He also is a member of the Bucks County Chiefs of Police Association, the Fraternal Order of Police, is president of the Bucks County Hero Scholarship Fund, and served as past president of the Delaware Valley Association of Professional Police Officials. He additionally served as vice president of the League of the Sacred Heart, and is a member of the FBI National Academy Associates, Vidocq Society, German American Police Association, Philadelphia Emerald Society and previously held a position as a vice president for the Southeastern PA Chiefs of Police Association.
He has an associates degree in criminal justice from Bucks County Community College, a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Penn State University completed graduate studies through the FBI National Academy at the University of Virginia. He also completed numerous law enforcement training programs at Penn State and Northwestern Universities and has undergone training at the Pennsylvania State Police Academy and the Bucks County Chief of Police Intercounty Detective School, FBI Law Enforcement Development Program, the PA Chiefs of Police Command Institute for Police Executives and the International Association Chief of Police Critical Management program.
He and his wife of 39 years, Joan, have one son, Bill, who serves as a Bucks County juvenile probation officer. His daughter-in-law, Amanda is the customer business manager for Newell Brands. He has two grandchildren Liam,7 and Lizzie, 3.
